Karolina Cabrera Orellana
I am an international student born and raised in Guayaquil- Ecuador, a small country in South America. My first language is Spanish, my second is English and I also know Portuguese. I came to the United States in 2016 in the company of my parents and my younger brother in search of a better future, which in 5 years we have already achieved. The field of psychology is something that I have been interested in since I was 14 years old. I remember telling my mother that when I grew up I wanted to be a psychologist, and today at 22 years old I am in the process of becoming one. I am very curious about the human mind and its cognitive processes, analyzing the behavior of human beings and finding out why they act in a certain way, is something that fills me with satisfaction.
I consider myself a person who likes to do many things alone, walk, exercise, have a date with myself, even though I have friends with whom I could do it, I enjoy it more if I am alone. That does not mean that I am antisocial, on the contrary I socialize a lot and I am one of the favorites in my groups of friends, when they have mental conflicts they always turn to me and I am always willing to help them. In my free time you can find me on a beach or traveling, it is something that I enjoy a lot.
My little brother is my favorite person in the world. I have achieved everything that I have today thanks to him, and of course to the support of my parents, and I will be eternally grateful for that.
